Village of Williamsville Village Board met March 25.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Town Hall/board meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by President Yokley. Clerk: Karen Winger. Trustees: Dave Carter, John Brennan, Heather Hofferkamp, Patrick Gettleman, Skylar Tierney, Matt Bunger.

GUESTS: See attached list.

Jay & Amy Roberts (525 Linden Lane) attended the meeting to discuss an issue they are having regarding the location of their neighbor’s sump pump drain.

President Yokley stated if the landowners whose property backups to the swale can get together and agree to some resolution, the Village will work to help make that possible. The Village will not pay for the project but will assist in the connection of the property owner’s sump drain. Kent Thompson recommended they talk to Harold Carter. Mention was made regarding some trees that have been planted in the swale, causing the elevation/drainage issues. President Yokley stated the Village will facilitate a meeting for all the property owners.

President Yokley presented Pat Taft a certificate of appreciation for all her dedication and hard work on the OSLAD grant and all of her years of service while employed for the Village.

COMMUNICATIONS: Trustee Carter stated the Village has received $700 in park donations.

Trustee Brennan made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting held on March 11, 2019. Trustee

Gettleman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

FINANCE: Trustee Tierney made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Trustee Hofferkamp seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

PUBLIC SAFETY (John Brennan): Trustee Brennan stated a meeting was held by the Public Safety Committee. Items discussed at the meeting were the new cigarette regulations and vaping. The other item discussed was an ordinance regarding dog bites.

WATER & SEWER, (Matt Bunger): Trustee Bunger had nothing new to report.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (Hofferkamp): Trustee Hofferkamp stated the owner of the Whistle Stop Bakery and Bob Kording have been invited to her next Economic Development Committee meeting to discuss their TIF application.

PARKS & RECREATION (Dave Carter): Trustee Carter stated the Parks Committee held a meeting to discuss adding ADA concrete pads and connecting sidewalks at the park.

Trustee Carter thanked the Public Works employees for all their work on removing the median on West Main Street. He said their work has saved the Village a significant amount of money.

Trustee Carter stated the Healthy Kids Run will be starting again on April 7th. He thanked the Kordings for all their work on such a great event. He invited everyone to attend at least once.

STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS & STORM SEWERS (Patrick Gettleman): Kent Thompson stated the concrete is scheduled to be poured on West Main Street on Tuesday, March 26th.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: Trustee Brennan made a motion to approve the Lease Agreement between Ameren, Village of Sherman, and the Village of Williamsville. Trustee Carter seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

Trustee Bunger made a motion to pass Resolution # 2019-01, a Resolution authorizing and ratifying the execution of intergovernmental agreement between the Village of Williamsville and Williams Township Road District regarding signage of Wolf Creek Road. Trustee Tierney seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

Trustee Carter asked that a breakdown of property tax amounts get published in the next newsletter.

The regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Williamsville adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
