City of Petersburg Council met April 16 16.

I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Rick Snyder called the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m.
II. PRELIMINARY MATTERS
A. Members present were Mayor Rick Snyder, Aldermen Andrew Gain, Rick Sonnemaker, Kevin Molohon, Nathan Grosboll, Bruce Gorman, and Keith Wilson. Also present were Treasurer Dave Frick and Deputy City Clerk Tracy Ciesler. City Clerk Ken Ortman was absent.
B. Mayor Snyder led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
C. A motion was made by Alderman Wilson and seconded by Alderman Gain to approve the agenda as presented. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
III. CITY CLERK
A. The City Clerk presented the Warrant List and Accounts Payable. A motion was made by Alderman Gorman and seconded by Alderman Grosboll to approve payment of the bills as listed on the Warrant List and Accounts Payable. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
B. A motion was made by Alderman Wilson and seconded by Alderman Sonnemaker to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes of April 2, 2019. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, abstain; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
C. A motion was made by Alderman Sonnemaker and seconded by Alderman Gain to approve the Personnel Minutes of April 2, 2019. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, abstain; Grosboll, abstain; Wilson, abstain; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
D. A motion made by Alderman Gorman seconded by Alderman Sonnemaker to approve the Finance minutes of April 9, 2019. Mayor Snyder asked that he be added to the members present on these minutes. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, abstain; Grosboll, abstain; Wilson, abstain; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, abstain. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION DID NOT PASS.
IV. HEARING OF CITIZENS
A. MJ Martin from The Truth Tabernacle Church asked if they could pass out lollypops for donations for Save our Children at the stoplight on May 11, 2019 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Alderman Grosboll made the motion to allow and Alderman Gorman seconded. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
B. Kyle Miller, Mindy Kinder and Ashley Carpenter for Petersburg Athletic Association spoke about the ball fields. They asked for NO SMOKING signs to be placed at the ball diamonds, branches around the concession stand trimmed, and the wall in front of the bathrooms at the girls diamonds replaced. Discussion was also had about water leaks at the concession stands and changing the locks.
V. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
A. Water
A. Water Collector Georgia Ed presented the Water Collector's Report for March 2019. A motion was made by Alderman Gorman and seconded by Alderman Gain to approve the Water Collector's Report with adjustments as presented. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
B. Dave Troxell presented the Water Department monthly report.

A. Dave Troxell presented the Street Department monthly report.
He stated that the 97 project would be starting on Monday April 22, 2019. Discussion was had about what the Engineer said about the drainage problem on Vineyard Hills road. The Alderman were given the list of the roads to be oiled and chipped this year.
VI. OFFICERS’ REPORTS
A. Mayor’s Report
A. A motion was made by Alderman Gorman and seconded by Alderman Gain to approve the 6th Street final Water Contract. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
B. Treasurer’s Report
Dave Frick presented the Treasurer's Report for March 2019. A motion made by Alderman Molohon seconded by Alderman Gorman to approve the Treasurer's Report. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
Dave Frick also presented the Auditor Acceptance Letters from Mike Feriozzi. A motion was made by Alderman Wilson and seconded by Alderman Sonnemaker to accept the letters. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
Next budget meeting was set for Tuesday April 23, 2019 for the General Fund.

X. NEW BUSINESS
A. The Mayor discussed with Council about giving full time employees a fifty cent an hour raise and to meet with the Police
Union about Police raises.
B. The Mayor thanked Alderman Keith Wilson for all the time that he has put into the community and serving on the City Council. And Alderman Wilson thanked everyone including the Mayor for all their time and effort in serving.
C. Discussion was had about the garbage pick up at the parks.

A motion was made by Alderman Gain and seconded by Alderman Gorman to adjourn the meeting. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Wilson, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED. Meeting Adjourned at 8:36 pm.
