Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in De Witt County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in De Witt County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that four men and two women were released in De Witt County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2015, and the oldest was a 49-year-old woman sentenced for homicide in 2004.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Lori Morse. She was convicted of homicide in 2004 when she was 34 years old. She is now 49.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each De Witt County municipality.
