Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Dupage County?

There were 66 offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Dupage County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that 57 men and nine women were released in Dupage County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 34. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017, and the oldest was a 67-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ernest Russell. He was convicted of homicide in 1997 when he was 20 years old. He is now 42.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Dupage County municipality.
