Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Logan County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Logan County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that eight men and three women were released in Logan County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 1985.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joshua Rydberg. He was convicted of a property crime in 2010 when he was 24 years old. He is now 33.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Logan County municipality.
