Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Sangamon County?

There were 83 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Sangamon County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that 75 men and eight women were released in Sangamon County. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017, and the oldest was a 57-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Antonio Richardson. He was convicted of a property crime in 2008 when he was 40 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Sangamon County municipality.
