Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Logan County?

There were 10 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Logan County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Logan County were men. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2015, and the oldest was a 55-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Dreyvan Walton. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015 when he was 18 years old. He is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Logan County municipality.
