The reason we purchased this equipment is due to approximately fifty different pours of concrete in the future, and each one will have to be tested. If we had to use PSI for each one, it would be very costly. By purchasing this equipment, the Village will be saving approximately $25,000-$30,000.
ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: President Yokley stated the Village has purchased three flowerpots to replace some the crumbly ones around town. By purchasing only three, this will allow us a chance to get an idea of the quality of the flowerpots before purchasing several more. They will be delivered in approximately 5-6 weeks before delivery. They are precast concrete. These pots were purchased from a company in Sycamore, Illinois.
Trustee Carter thanked the Veterans Committee, Boy Scouts, and high school students who placed approximately 260-265 flags at all the cemeteries. Trustee Carter invited everyone to volunteer to remove all the flags on Saturday, June 1st.
