Village of Williamsville Village Board met June 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Town Hall/board meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by President Yokley. Clerk: Karen Winger. Trustees: Dave Carter, John Brennan, Heather Hofferkamp, Patrick Gettleman, Skylar Tierney, Matt Bunger.

GUESTS: See attached list.

COMMUNICATIONS: No communications to report.

Trustee Brennan made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting held on May 28, 2019. Trustee Tierney seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

FINANCE: Trustee Tierney made a motion to pay bills as presented. Trustee Brennan seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

PUBLIC SAFETY (John Brennan): Trustee Brennan introduced an ordinance pertaining to the operation of non-highway vehicles on roadways within the Village of Williamsville. This ordinance will be voted on at the next board meeting. Trustee Brennan stated his committee has held a committee meeting to discuss this ordinance. They have submitted an administrative change to counsel.

WATER & SEWER, (Matt Bunger): Trustee Bunger had nothing to report.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (Hofferkamp): Trustee Hofferkamp stated the Speedway project is progressing. Their goal is to have it completed in October.

President Yokley stated Mr. Pruitt is doing extremely well with his new business. Trustee Hofferkamp will be taking him a TIF application.

PARKS & RECREATION (Dave Carter): Trustee Carter thanked everyone who has contributed to the project at the park. He thanked and complimented Trustee Tierney and the Powell’s on the great job they are doing. Trustee Carter asked if the summer employees could go down and pick up sticks at the park.

STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS & STORM SEWERS (Patrick Gettleman): Trustee Gettleman had nothing to report.

Kent Thompson discussed the MFT street oiling project. Trustee Brennan inquired about the striping of the streets. President Yokley stated the streets that need striped will be striped after the streets are all oiled.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: President Yokley stated one item has just been brought to the board’s attention, therefore; asking the item to be added to “additional business”. The item is pertaining to the removal of concrete from our burn site (near the sewer plant). Kent Thompson received a quote for removal of all the concrete for $4,000. This bid is much less than the amount of the last quote.

Trustee Brennan made a motion to accept the $4,000 quote for removal of the concrete. Trustee Gettleman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

Trustee Gettleman made a motion to take a short recess before entering executive session (C-5). Trustee Brennan seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

The regular board meeting resumed session at 6:50 p.m.

The regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Williamsville adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
