4th Street/ Cook Street home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in 4th Street/ Cook Street, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $23,000 while total sales increased by 78.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 34 homes sold, with a median sale price of $43,000 - a 34.8% decrease over the $66,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 19 homes sold in 4th Street/ Cook Street in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in 4th Street/ Cook Street for 2017 was $1,515. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,512. This marks an increase of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.5%.
