St. John's Hospital Springfield Illinois issued the following announcement on Dec. 3.
HSHS St. John’s Hospital will be collecting diapers and wipes for the babies in our Beyond the NICU program. Beyond the NICU is a home care program to help premature babies and their families make a smooth transition from the hospital to home in both the Springfield and Decatur areas. The hospital is accepting all diaper sizes but has a great need for sizes 2-5.
Drop-off locations will be Thursday, Dec. 5 and Friday, Dec. 6 at the following locations:
St. John’s Women and Children’s Clinic, 400 N. 9th St.; 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sam’s Club, 2300 W. White Oaks Dr. and Wal-Mart on South Sixth St.; 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Monetary donations will also be welcomed. Financial support for Beyond the NICU is provided by HSHS St. John’s Hospital Foundation.
