City of Petersburg City Council met Nov. 19.

I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Rick Snyder called the City Council to order at 7:02 p.m.
II. PRELIMINARY MATTERS
A. Members present were Mayor Rick Snyder, Aldermen Kevin Molohon, Andrew Gain, Bruce Gorman, Rick Sonnemaker, and. Also present were Treasurer Dave Frick, City Clerk Ken Ortman and City Attorney Chris Sherer.
B. Mayor Snyder led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
C. A motion was made by Alderman Gain and seconded by Alderman Sonnemaker to approve the agenda as Presented. VOTES: Sonnemaker, yes; Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Gain, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
III. CITY CLERK
A. The City Clerk presented the Warrant List and Accounts Payable.
A motion was made by Alderman Molohon and seconded by Alderman Gain to approve payment of the bills as listed on the Warrant List and Accounts Payable. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Gain, yes; Sonnemaker, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
Alderman Grosboll arrived at 7:05 PM.
B. A motion was made by Alderman Gorman and seconded by Alderman Sonnemaker to approve the minutes of November 5, 2019 Regular Meeting. VOTES: Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Gain, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gorman, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
C. A motion was made by Alderman Gorman and seconded by Alderman Gain to approve the minutes of November 5, 2019 Executive Session Meeting. VOTES: Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Gain, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gorman, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
IV. HEARING OF CITIZENS
Alderman Allison arrived at 7:12 PM.
A. Cavin Sullivan spoke on extending his contract for his delinquent water payments, due December 2, 2019, till the first of the year. A motion made by Alderman Sonnemaker seconded by Alderman Gorman to proceed with the present water agreement.
VOTES: Gain, yes; Allison, abstain; Sonnemaker, yes; Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, no. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION
CARRIED.
B. Gina Giacometti had a request to have the last block of West Harris Street pot holes filled in. The Mayor and Dave Troxell will go up and look at them tomorrow.
V. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
A. Water
1. Georgia Ed gave the Water collectors report. A motion made by Alderman Gorman seconded by Alderman Gorman seconded by Alderman Allison to approve the Water Collectors Report as presented.

2. Dave Troxell gave the Water Superintendents Report. Had to replace a door and the furnace in the old water plant building.
The Mayor signed the EPA Permit to supply the 9 businesses Northwest of town with city water. They will pay for all materials; the City will do all the work. Should be able to get started on that project around January.
3. Discussion on the bridge project by the High School entrance.
B. Street
1. Dave Troxell gave the Street Department Report. Sidewalk repair is done for the year. The Mayor got us a loan of a bucket truck from Macon City and we cut down 5 trees for the City.
2. The new plow truck is in Illinois. It just needs to be trucked to here. The plow and bed are at the company in Springfield.
3. Resolution 2019-12 Motor Fuel Tax Resolution. A motion made by Alderman Gain seconded by Alderman Gorman to approve Resolution 2019-12 Motor Fuel Tax Resolution. VOTES: Sonnemaker, yes; Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Gain, yes; Allison, yes.
Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
VI. OFFICERS’ REPORTS
A. Mayor’s Report
1. Update Ordinance Code Book. A motion made by Alderman Gorman seconded by Alderman Allison to approve the Updating the Ordinance Code Book in 2020. VOTES: Gorman, yes; Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Gain, yes; Allison, yes; Sonnemaker, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
2. Discuss on an Employee Christmas Lunch. A motion made by Alderman Gorman seconded by Alderman Gain to allocate $200 for a Christmas Lunch. VOTES: Molohon, yes; Grosboll, yes; Gain, yes; Allison, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gorman, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.
3. Discussion of a Christmas Bonus for full time and part time city employees. A motion by Alderman Gorman seconded by Alderman Grosboll to approve a Christmas Bonus of $125.00 for all full time employees and $60 for all part time employees that have worked in the last 30 days from November 19, 2019.
B. Treasurer’s Report
1. Treasurers David Frick presented the Treasurers Report. A motion made by Alderman Gain seconded by Alderman Sonnemaker to accept the Treasurers Report. VOTES: Grosboll, yes; Gain, yes; Allison, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Gorman, yes, Molohon, yes. Mayor Snyder declared the MOTION CARRIED.

1. Alderman Allison mentioned that the Christmas Light Committee has started putting up the lights around the light poles and some of the electrical boxes are not working.
