Village of Chatham Village Board met Feb. 25.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by the Village Mayor, Dave Kimsey.

Roll Call - Attendance was as follows: Present - Trustee Chiaro, Trustee Detmers, Trustee Gerger, Trustee Mau, Trustee Scherschel. Trustee Mann arrived

late to the meeting but arrived shortly after the meeting started. Others present - Village Administrator McCarthy, Police Chief Vern Foli, Greg Moredock,

Village attorney, and Deputy Clerk Moran.

Public Announcements - Trustee Detmers announced that he has some of his own artwork on display at the public library. Anyone interested, please visit the

library. Trustee Mau announced that the annual Lenten Fish Fry is being held this year at the American Legion post starting this Friday. The event will

continue until the Friday before Easter. Time: 5:00 - 7:30 PM. 50/50 drawing will be held each Friday.

Warrants Resolution 4-20

Motion was made by Trustee Mau and second by Trustee Chiaro to approve the consent agenda, that being the Minutes from Tuesday February 11, 2020 and the

Warrants Resolution 4-20. Vote taken: Mann - yes, Gerger - yes, Chiaro - yes, Detmers - yes, Mau - yes, and Scherschel - yes. Yes - 6 votes to No - 0. No

abstain. Consent agenda approved.

Old Business:

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE VILLAGE CUSTOMER SERVICES POLICY HANDBOOK (REVISED MARCH, 2020) Ordinance 20-4, Trustee Chairo motioned to have Ordinance 20-5 approved with

a second by Trustee Mau. Vote taken: Mann - yes, Gerger, yes, Chiaro - yes, Detmers - yes, Mau - yes, and Scherschel - yes, Yes - 6 to No 0. Ordinance 20-4 approved.

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BID FOR A 2500 HD CREW CAB PICK UP TRUCK OR ITS EQUIVALENT - Resolution 5-20, Trustee Detmers motioned to approve Resolution

5-20 and was seconded by Trustee Scherschel. Vote taken: Mann - yes, Gerger - yes, Chiaro - yes, Detmers - yes, Mau - yes, and Scherschel - yes. Yes - 6 to No 0. Resolution 5-20 approved.

New Business:

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH VILLAGES OF CHATHAM AND NEW BERLIN, ILLINOIS PROVIDING FOR ISSUANCE OF ALTERNATE BONDS BY THE SOUTH SANGAMON WATER COMMISSION; Ordinance 20-5, Trustee Chiaro motioned to approve Ordinance 20-5 and this was seconded by Trustee Detmers. Vote take: Mann - yes, Gerger - yes, Chiaro - yes,

Detmers - yes, Mau - yes, and Scherschel - yes. Yes - 6 to No 0. Ordinance 20-5 approved.

A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING AND RECOMMITTING TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT HOLDERS OF LIQUOR LICENSES THAT ALLOW GAMING MUST HAVE SALES OF FOOD, NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES THAT EXCEED 25% OF THE NET TERMINAL INCOME FOR THE PRIOR 12-MONTH PERIOD: Resolution 6-20. Trustee Mau motioned to approve Resolution 6-20 and Trustee Chiaro seconded the motion. Vote taken: Mann - yes,

A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO A COMPLIANCE COMMITMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY; Resolution 7-20. Trustee Chiaro

motioned to approve Resolution 7-20 and Trustee Mau seconded the motion. Vote taken: Mann - yes, Gerger - yes, Chiaro - yes, Detmers - yes, Mau - yes, and Scherschel - yes Vote was: Yes - 6 to No 0.

Resolution 7-20 approved.

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PERFORMANCE AUDIT FINAL REPORT PREPARED BY MATRIX CONSULTING GROUP. Resolution 8-20. Trustee Scherschel motioned to approve Resolution 8-20 and Trustee Chairo

seconded the motion. Vote taken: Mann - yes, Gerger - yes, Chiaro - yes, Detmers - yes, Mau - yes, Scherschel - yes. Yes - 6 and No - 0. Resolution 8-20 approved.

ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE FINAL PLAT OF PEGGY OSTERMIER MINOR SUBDIVISION. Ordinance 20-7. Trustee Mau motioned to approve Ordinance 20-7 and Trustee Scherschel seconded the motion. Vote taken:

Mann - yes, Gerger - yes, Chiaro - yes, Detmers - yes, Mau - yes, and Scherschel - yes. Yes - 6 and No 0. Ordinance 20-7 approved.

ORDINANCE TERMINATING THE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR SPARTAN SPORTS PARK INC. AND GRANTING A LIQUOR LICENSE TO RBI CENTRAL ILLINOIS INC. Village Mayor Kimsey asked a trustee to motion to remove this

item #7 from the agenda tonight. Trustee Mau motioned to remove item #7 from the agenda and Trustee Chiaro seconded the motion. Motion is approved. No discussion or vote.
