Williamsville VFD responds to 23 fires in 2018

Williamsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to 36 calls in 2018 - 5.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Williamsville included 23 fires - 10 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and six other fires.

In all, the department saw $73,000 in fire loss - or about $3,174 per fire.

The department also received 13 false calls.

The Williamsville Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $261,103 in 2018.
