Pawnee Fire Protection District responded to 19 calls in 2018 - 20.8 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Pawnee included 13 fires - six structure fires, two vehicle fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $18,000 in fire loss - or about $1,385 per fire.

The department also received six false calls, including one malicious call and five other false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.

The Pawnee Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $310,414 in 2018.
