Illinois State Museum issued the following announcement on Apr. 23.
Join us online and in-person as we discover more about the birds that live in our backyard. Take part in a bird count through a nature walk, learn the correct way to feed ducks, discover feather art ideas, and more. On Saturday, May 1st join us at the Museum during open hours for a fun round of I Spy as we explore the exhibits looking for different birds. The Illinois State Museum partnered with the Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders to bring you a behind the scenes look on a bird band trip at Jubilee Farm. Look for the video on our Facebook page and ISM Family Fun site. More activities and videos will also be posted to the Facebook event. Additional activity, ideas, and resources will be available on the ISM Family Fun site at bit.ly/ismfamilyfun.
This event is sponsored by bankwithBOS. Activities will be geared toward elementary age children and their families, but most will be adaptable to other ages. For additional information, please contact Sarah Davis at events@illinoisstatemuseum.org or (217) 782-6044.
