Present: Trustee Chiaro, Trustee Detmers, Trustee Scherschel, Trustee Ferguson; Trustee Mau, and Village President Kimsey; Trustee Gerger was absent

Others Present: Village Manager McCarthy, Police Chief Foli; Village Attorney Greg Moredock, and Village Clerk Holden

4. Public Announcements: If you have a Public announcement you must email it to (publiccomments@chathamil.net) at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled meeting.

Les Morgan with the Chatham American Legion requested the use of the Village Square in order to have a Color Guard starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021. There will be no ceremony. The request will proceed and be an action item at a future village meeting.

Trustee Scherschel noted a need to update the minutes from the April 27, 2021 meeting. The Village Clerk will make the update.

Trustee Ferguson moved, seconded by Trustee Chiaro to put the consent agenda on the table for action. The consent agenda passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Chiaro yes, Mau yes, Ferguson yes, Detmers yes, and Scherschel yes. Trustee Gerger absent.

D. Old Business

1. RESOLUTION NO. 07- 21 AN RESOLUTION RELEASING THE LETTER OF CREDIT FOR CARDINAL RIDGE

This Resolution will remain in Old Business.

E. New Business

1. NextSite Presentation

Charles Branch with NextSite provided a video conference overview of the services NextSite can provide for the Village of Chatham. These services include research, consulting and marketing specific to economic development for the village. Mr. Branch has worked with the Sangamon County Growth Alliance in an effort to promote economic development throughout Sangamon County.

2. RESOLUTION NO. 17 - 21 AN RESOLUTION RELEASING THE LETTER OF CREDIT FOR THE WILLOWS

Trustee Chiaro moved, seconded by Trustee Detmers to put the ordinance on the table for action. Resolution 17-21 passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Chiaro yes, Mau yes, Ferguson yes, Detmers yes, and Scherschel yes. Trustee Gerger was absent.

3. RESOLUTION NO. 18 - 21 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE AND APPORTIONMENT OF ENERGY COSTS

Trustee Detmers moved, seconded by Trustee Scherschel to put the ordinance on the table for action. Resolution 18-21 passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Chiaro yes, Mau yes, Ferguson yes, Detmers yes, and Scherschel yes. Trustee Gerger was absent.

4. A RESOLUTION NO. 19 -21 ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF MEREDITH FERGUSON FROM THE POLICE PENSION BOARD AND APPOINTING BRUCE THOMPSON TO THE POLICE PENSION BOARD

Trustee Ferguson moved, seconded by Trustee Chiaro to put the ordinance on the table for action. Resolution 19-21 passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Chiaro yes, Mau yes, Ferguson yes, Detmers yes, and Scherschel yes. Trustee Gerger was absent.

Trustee Scherschel motioned, seconded by Trustee Chiaro to stand in recess. The motion passed by voice vote.

Trustee Scherschel motioned to Reconvene the Regular Village Board meeting. This motion was seconded by Trustee Ferguson. The motion passed by a voice vote.

Trustee Chiaro motioned to adjourn the meeting into Closed Session. This motion was seconded by Trustee Ferguson. The motion passed by a voice vote.
