Rochester home prices rose in the third quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Rochester rose by $50,000 while total sales decreased by 23.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 16 homes sold, with a median sale price of $235,000 - a 27% increase over the $185,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 21 homes sold in Rochester in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Rochester for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,635, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
