Sangamon County Court Services Committee met Nov. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

PRESENT: John O'Neill – Chair, Abe Forsyth – Vice Chair, Clyde Bunch, Tony DelGiorno, Pam Deppe & Todd Smith

MEMBERS NOT PRESENT: none

OTHERS: David Durall, Mike Torchia, Suzann Maxheimer, Michelle Lomelino, Paul Truax, Dan Wright, Craig Reiser, Jeff Wilhite & Mary Carter (secretary)

A quorum was present. Chair O'Neill called the meeting to order at 5:00pm.

Bunch made a motion to approve the minutes from October 7th and Forsyth seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

New Business/Department Updates:

Court Administration-Suzann Maxheimer

Approval to Adjust Salary for Maria Pisarek whose current title is Data Coder effective 11/15/21 with an increase from $16.25 to $21.75 per hour-salary is 100% covered by grant funding. 2. Purchase Order-Judicial Systems Inc-telephone support & software upgrade at a cost of $7,019. 3. Purchase Order-Judicial Systems Inc-new telephone system software at a cost of $9,900. Bunch made a motion to approve all and Smith seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

Public Defender's Office-Craig Reiser

1. Purchase Order & County Board Resolution-Dr. Philip Pan for forensic exams at a cost of $40,000.

2. Purchase Order-Killian & Associates, SC for forensic exams at a cost of $10,000.

Smith made a motion to approve both requests and Bunch seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

Circuit Clerk Paul Palazzolo/David Durall

1. Approval for an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Village of Pawnee for digiTICKET. Del Giorno made a motion to approve and Deppe seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

2. Approval to Hire a Part Time Records Clerk at an hourly salary of $12.8005 effective 11/15/21. The previous employee's termination date was 10/1/21 and last paycheck in that position was 10/15/21. (employee moved into a full-time position)

3. Approval to Hire a Seasonal Clerk at an hourly salary of $11.00 effective 11/15/21. The previous employee's termination date was 7/17/20 and last paycheck date was 7/24/20.

4. Approval to Hire a Seasonal Clerk at an hourly salary of $11.00 effective 12/6/21.

The previous employee's termination date was 8/7/20 and last paycheck date was 8/21/20. DelGiorno made a motion to approve #1-#4 and Smith seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

5. Approval to Hire a Seasonal Clerk at an hourly salary of $11.00 effective 12/6/21.

The previous employee's termination date was 9/17/20 and last paycheck date was 10/1/20. should be 2021 dates-amended dates 9/17/21 and 10/1/21

6. Approval to Hire a Data Entry Clerk at an annual salary of $30,460.46/$15.6207 effective 12/13/21. The previous employee's termination date was 10/29/21 and last paycheck date will be 11/12/21. amended salary $31,039.21

7. Approval to Hire a Front Counter Clerk at an annual salary of $30,460.46/$15.6207 effective 12/13/21. The previous employee's termination date will be 11/5/21 and last paycheck date will be 11/12/21. amended salary $31,039.21

8. Approval to Hire an Asst Manager/Mental Health Clerk at an annual salary of $33,284.38/$17.0689 effective 12/13/21. The previous employee's termination date was 10/29/21 and last paycheck date will be 11/12/21.amended salary $33,916.78 DelGiorno made a motion to amend and approve #5-#8 and Bunch seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

State's Attorney - Dan Wright

1. Approval to Adjust Salary for Amber Calvert whose current title is Victim Witness Advocate effective 12/1/21 with an increase in salary from $35,179 to $40,000.

2. Approval to Adjust Salary & Promote Stephanie Berry to Senior Legal Secretary effective 12/13/21 with an increase in salary from $38,732 to $40,669.

3. Approval to Adjust Salary for Joel Benoit whose current title is ASA-Chief Civil Division effective 12/1/21 with an increase in salary from $100,000 to $110,000.

4. Approval to Adjust Salary for Dan Mosher whose current title is Senior ASA-Civil Division effective 12/1/21 with an increase in salary from $78,204 to $85,000.

5. Approval to Adjust Salary & Promote Meghan McCarthy from ASA Level 2 to ASA Level 3 effective 12/1/21 with an increase in salary from $56,375 to $66,885.

6. Approval to Adjust Salary for Steven Perbix whose current title is Senior ASA effective 12/1/21 with an increase in salary from $69,972 to $77,500.

7. Pre-Travel Approval for State's Attorney Dan Wright to attend the Illinois States' Attorney's Association Winter Conference & Training from 12/1-3, 2021 in Oakbrook, IL for a total cost of $1,060.75. Bunch made a motion to approve all requests and DelGiorno seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

Court Services - Mike Torchia

1. Approval to Hire a Detention Officer at an annual salary of $41,370 effective 11/22/21. The previous employee's termination date was 10/28/21 and last paycheck date will be 11/12/21. Requesting a waiver of the 30 day lag-100% reimbursement from the State of Illinois.

2. Approval to Hire a Detention Officer at an annual salary of $41,370 effective 11/22/21. The previous employee's termination date will be 11/12/21 and last paycheck date will be 11/26/21. Requesting a waiver of the 30 day lag-100% reimbursement from the State of Illinois.

3. Approval to Hire a Probation Officer at an annual salary of $41,370 effective 11/22/21. The previous employee will be promoted to Senior Probation Officer effective 11/7/21. Requesting a waiver of the 30 day lag-100% reimbursement from the State of Illinois.

4. Approval to Hire a Probation Officer at an annual salary of $41,370 effective 11/22/21. The previous employee's termination date was 11/1/21 and last paycheck date will be 11/12/21. Requesting a waiver of the 30 day lag-100% reimbursement from the State of Illinois. Bunch made a motion to approve all requests and Deppe seconded. Motion carried (6-0)

**The Juvenile Detention report: average daily population is 11.97 for October. Average for the year is 9.00. Capacity is 16. We are running at 56.25% capacity rate.

Acceptance of Purchase Reports-Smith made a motion to approve and Bunch seconded. Motion carried (6-0)
