Report: Grayville School District spent $10,588 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Grayville Community Unit School District 1 was up 13.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the White County school district spent $9,301 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,588 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 311 to 278 students over the same period.

Grayville's spending in 2019-20 was 26.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
