Report: Lincoln School District spent $13,239 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lincoln Community High School District 404 was up 19.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Logan County school district spent $11,100 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,239 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 849 to 811 students over the same period.

Lincoln's spending in 2019-20 was 8.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
