The second half of 2021: Rochester experienced a 14.3% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Rochester rose by $25,000 while total sales decreased by 34.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 27 homes sold, with a median sale price of $200,000 - a 14.3% increase over the $175,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 41 homes sold in Rochester in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Rochester for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,635, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
