Report: Fox River Grove School District spent $14,601 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Fox River Grove School District 3 was up 21.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $11,980 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,601 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 491 to 393 students over the same period.

Fox River Grove's spending in 2019-20 was 0.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
