Report: Fisher School District spent $11,295 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Fisher Community Unit School District 1 was up 8.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Champaign County school district spent $10,382 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,295 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 634 to 595 students over the same period.

Fisher's spending in 2019-20 was 22.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
