Village of Sherman Village Board met Feb. 1.

Public Hearing

VILLAGE BOARD IN ATTENDANCE

Trevor J. Clatfelter, President; Pam Gray, Trustee; Bret Hahn, Trustee; Brian Long, Trustee; Kim Rockford, Trustee; Kevin Schultz, Trustee

Excused Absence: Trustee Jay Timm

OFFICIALS IN ATTENDANCE

Joseph Craven, Legal Counsel; Sean Bull, Clerk; Michael Stratton, Village Administrator; Craig Bangert, Chief of Police; Mike Moos, EMA Director; Jalen Owens, Intern Government Affairs

PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE (From Sign-In Sheet)

Joseph Inendino; Ken Campbell; Sandra Walden

Also present was Redjep Sadiku, Owner of Fairlane Diner.

OPENING

1. Roll Call. Clerk Bull conducted roll call of the Village Board of Trustees. President Clatfelter noted Trustee Timm had excused absence. President Clatfelter noted that a quorum was present to conduct Village business.

2. Pledge of Allegiance. Jalen Owens led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.

PUBLIC HEARING

President Clatfelter opened the public hearing reading aloud the purpose of the public hearing was concerning the closeout of the CDBG grant funded through the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for amount of $25,000 for working capital needs for Fairlane Diner.

President Clatfelter asked if a representative of Fairlane that would like to address the Board. Redjep Sadiku, owner of Fairlane Diner, addressed the Board thanking them for the application and that the funds will used for working capital for the business. President Clatfelter asked if there were any questions of the Board. There being none, President Clatfelter moved to the next item on the agenda.

PUBLIC COMMENT

President Clatfelter asked if anyone would like to address the Board. There being none, President Clatfelter asked if there were any written statements to present before the hearing. There being none, president Clatfelter moved to for adjournment.

ADJOURNMENT

President Clatfelter noted there were no further matters to come before the Board and requested a motion to adjourn the public hearing. Motion by Trustee Timm Schultz; seconded by Trustee Gray. Voice Vote with Ayes having it 5/0. Motion Passed. Public Hearing was adjourned at 6:09pm.
