Analysis: Mt Pulaski administrators rank 193rd in state for average pay

Administrators in Mt Pulaski Community Unit School District 23 earn an average of $118,153 per year, ranking 193rd out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 22.8 percent higher than in 2016 and 11 percent higher than in 2011. District administrators make 6.2 percent more than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.
