In an Aug. 11 Facebook post, Rep. Tim Butler cheered a hardware store in Springfield, Illinois, celebrating a major milestone.
In his post, Butler shared a link to Noonan True Value's anniversary post. It read: "On this date in 1947, now known as Noonan True Value was established. Thank You for 75 years of making friends."
The hardware store provides a wide range of services including paint color matching, key cutting, blade sharpening, carpet cleaner rentals and more, according to the store’s website. The store sells a variety of supplies, including bird feed and supplies, automotive parts, cabinet and door hardware, cleaning supplies and holiday decorations.
"Congrats on 75 years to our North End neighbors, my go-to hardware store, and a tremendous family business: Noonan True Value," Butler wrote in his Facebook post.
In 2021, Noonan True Value was a finalist for the Illinois Times Best of Springfield award for hardware stores, according to the Illinois Times.
The store is open seven days a week and serves "pros" and individuals taking on do it yourself projects, according to its website.
