Village of Chatham Committee of the Whole met Sept. 13.

A. Call to Order

Village President Dave Kimsey called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

Present: Trustee Carl Try; Trustee Meredith Ferguson; Trustee Kristen Chiaro and Village President Dave Kimsey.

Absent: Trustees Brett Gerger, Tim Nice, John Fletcher.

Also Present: Village Manager Pat McCarthy; Village Attorney Greg Moredock; Police Chief Vern Foli; Village Clerk Dan Holden.

4. Public Announcements:

Village Trustee Ferguson, on behalf of Les Morgan with the Chatham VFW and Chatham American Legion, announced that there will be a POW/MIA Ceremony at 6:00 pm Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Flag Pole at the Village Square.

A motion was made by Trustee Chiaro to place the Consent Agenda on the table for discussion. This motion was seconded by Trustee Try. By a 4-0-3 vote, the motion passed. The roll call vote was as follows: Trustee Chiaro – yes; Trustee Try – yes; Trustee Ferguson – yes; Village President Kimsey – yes. Trustee Gerger – absent, Trustee Nice – absent, Trustee Fletcher – absent.

6. The executive session will be pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5) “The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired.”

A motion was made by Trustee Ferguson to go into Closed Session for the purpose of Reviewing Closed Session Meeting Minutes under 2(c)(21). This motion was seconded by Trustee Chiaro. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed.

After the Closed Session, a motion was made by Trustee Ferguson to rejoin the Regular Village Board meeting. This motion was seconded by Trustee Try. By a 4-0-3 vote, the motion passed. The roll call vote was as follows: Trustee Chiaro – yes; Trustee Try – yes; Trustee Ferguson – yes; Village President Kimsey – yes. Trustee Gerger – absent, Trustee Nice – absent, Trustee Fletcher – absent.

A motion was made by Trustee Ferguson to release the recommended Closed Session Meeting Minutes. This motion was seconded by Trustee Chiaro. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed.

H. Closing
