Village of Greenview Village Board met Sept. 12.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting. President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Elizabeth Soldwedel, Norman Hofmann, Pat Feagans, and Jamie Booth were present. Other village personnel present were Village Treasurer John Holt, Village Employee Joe Reynolds, Police Chief Alex Thomson, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm.
Public Participation:
Resident came for an update on the sewer.
Chief Alex Thomson gave the police report. A motion was made by Trustee Soldwedel and seconded by Trustee Hofmann to accept the police report. All present in favor voted aye. Report filed into record.
Joe Reynolds gave the maintenance report. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Booth. All present in favor voted aye. Report filed into record.
The minutes from the August 15th, 2022, board meeting was reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Booth to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed into record.
Income/Expense/Bill Report Each board member reviewed the bills. A motion was made by Trustee Soldwedel and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the payment of all bills. Motion was roll called, all present voted aye. Motion passed.
Old Business
1. Trustee Hofmann made a motion and was seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the tree trimming bid up to $15,000.00.
2. Vote on the jelly sand was tabled
New Business
1. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Booth to approve membership for Landmark Illinois.
2. Discussion was had on the Greenview School kids helping with the preparation for Labor Day.
3. Discussion was had on the FFA Christmas Tree in the park.
4. Trustee Hofmann will be starting the process of transferring phones to AT&T
5. Discussion had on each committee chair research grants especially for sidewalks
6. Discussion was had on changing the liquor sales hours on Sundays to 11-8 pm.
7. Discussion had on salaried employees keep time sheets

Committee Reports:
Trustee Feagans: Discussion on sidewalks that need to be fixed
Trustee Hofmann: Spoke with engineers regarding researching a grant to offset bridge loan Trustee Soldwedel: Nothing
Trustee Wellhausen: Absent
Trustee Booth: Will be marking trees for trimming and removal soon.
Treasurer/Zoning: Has contacted attorney on costs for Monroe Street property. Has a meeting scheduled regarding the cell phone contract. Discussion was had on the fund to pay bridge loan.
President: Discussion had on Labor Day Celebration.
Meeting adjourned at 8:46 pm.
