Q4 2022 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Menard County?

There were three offenders living in Menard County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows all of the released offenders in Menard County were men. The median age of the parolees was 26. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2022, and the oldest was a 42-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Mason R. Craigmiles. He was convicted of a property crime in 2022 when he was 23 years old. He is now 24.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2022 in each Menard County.
