Here are the minutes provided by the board: 

• CALL TO ORDER 

❖ Meeting was called to order at 1735 hours.

• ROLL CALL 

❖ Present were Trustee Perkins, Trustee Bell; Trustee Mueller; Chief Self; Assistant Chief Bolletta; Division Chief Rose; Lt. Kissel; FF/EMTP Gerberding, Rogers, Follis, Enstrom public member Blake Rogers and Office Manger Kashima Stotts

❖ Absent: None

• APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES 

❖ Open session minutes of March 14, 2023, District Meetings were presented for approval. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Trustee Mueller and seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Closed session minutes of February 14, 28 and March 14, 2023, District Meetings were presented for approval. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Trustee Mueller and seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

• TREASURERS REPORT 

❖ Trustee Perkins and Trustee Bell accepted treasurer’s report.

❖ Motion was made to pay the bill by Trustee Mueller and seconded by Trustee Perkins; motion passed.

• PUBLIC COMMENTS AND CONCERNS:

❖ FF/EMT P Rogers introduced his son to the District Board

❖ No other public comment.

• OLD BUSINESS: 

❖ Discussion / approval to design and purchase a department challenge coin was discussed, Trustee Mueller made a motion to purchase 300 membership coins in the proof design #14 and was seconded by and to research coin option for public issue and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

• NEW BUSINESS: 

❖ Vendor List was discussed, no new Vendors at this time.

❖ Discussion / approval to purchase 20 Unication G5 Pagers and 20 desktop chargers, Trustee Muller made a motion to purchase 30 Unication pagers with desk top chargers and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion on reappointment of JW Hoskinson, Trustee Mueller made a motion to reappoint JW Hoskinson to the Board of Fire Commissioners and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion on resignation of FF/EMT P Matt Milner effective March 31, 2023 was discussed, Trustee Bell made a motion to regretfully accept the resignation of Matt Milner and was seconded by Trustee Mueller; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / approval of license plate verification for Bolletta and Self, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve the license plate verification and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / review of the Firefighter Service Evaluation Board Review Committee no action taken.

❖ Discussion / review of renewal agreement with Vector Solutions Training platform April 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024, in the amount of $4,983.65, Trustee Perkins made a motion to renew the agreement with Vector Solution training platform in the amount of $4,983.65 and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS: 

❖ Discussion given by Chief Self

• Will be starting the promotional process.

• PENSION BOARD: 

❖ Discussion by Division Chief Rose

• Meeting on Friday, March 3, 2023

• FOREIGN FIRE INSURANCE BOARD: 

❖ Discussion given by FF/Paramedic Suhling

• Approved to purchase additional refrigerator paying 50 percent cost. 

• Purchased hand lights.

• CHIEF SELF’S REPORT 

• Trustee Bell will be nominated for re-appointment at the April 10, 2023 County Board meeting

• Live fire training is on March 20th.

▪ Went well nice facility.

▪ 2 more dates in September

• Working on RTF policies and training – Chiefs, Lt Kissel and Enstrom participated in drill on March 28, 2023 at LLCC

▪ We are in the initial phases of implementation.

▪ St. Johns Foundation should be supplying our needed RTF items.

▪ Items will not be here before late fall / winter at best

▪ Participating in multi -jurisdictional drill on April 28, 2023, at GHS 

• Commissioners

▪ Presented with two choices for promotion testing agencies.

▪ Tentative testing dates talked about

▪ Commissioner Hoskinson wishes to be reappointed.

▪ Carrigan accepted the initial offer of employment.

• ASSISTANT CHIEF BOLLETTA’S REPORT 

• Ground Emergency Medical Transportation Program

• Nothing new to report

• Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection System

• Submission period 06/01/2023-10/31/2023

• Grants

• AFG – nothing new to report

• Fire Prevention and Safety Grant (closes 03/31/2023)

• Safety House

• Brandt Foundation

• Gas Meters

• Pagers and Radios

• Pager Purchase

• Training

• Nothing new to report

• Nothing new to report was ordered 9/29/2023 still on back order.

• Surplus

• Nothing new to report

• DIVISION CHIEF ROSE’S REPORT 

• Still waiting on availability of parts for recall on Command One

• 3F29 will go to Chatham Collision for pain warranty work TBA.

• 3F28 went to Flynn’s Diesel for repairs to ball joints and wheel bearings. 

• Light bar for Truck 1 is n and will be installed soon.

• Ladder testing is also ongoing.

• ESO has finally been able to get out past call records into our data base, the other data is ongoing

• Fire live burn training has been sent out to all fire personnel for the upcoming training at Macon County Emergency Service Training facility in March and September

• CLOSED SESSION 

❖ No closed session during meeting.

• ADJOURNMENT 

❖ Motion to adjourn meeting at 1820hours was made by Trustee Mueller and was seconded Trustee Bell motion passed.
