Village of Greenview Village Board met Sept. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Greenview Village Board met for a regularly scheduled Board meeting on Monday, September 18, 2023. President Kevin Curry called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM and all present participated in the Pledge of Allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees: Pam Rouse, Taya Smith, Liz Soldwedel, Norm Hofmann, Pat Feagans, Jamie Booth were present. Other Village personnel present was John Holt. Member of the public Gary Richardson was present.

No Public Participation.

John Holt delivered the Treasurer’s Report, with a motion to approve made by Trustee Feagans, seconded by Trustee Smith. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Report filed into record.

Zoning Report was given by John Holt. Motion made by Trustee Booth, seconded by Trustee Rouse. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Report filed into record.

The minutes from September 11, 2023 were reviewed by Board members. A motion to approve the Minutes was made by Trustee Hofmann, seconded by Trustee Booth. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Report filed into record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report. Board members reviewed the bills. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Rouse to approve the payment of all bills. Motion was roll-called, all present voted aye. Motion carried.

Old Business 

1. Trustee Smith proposed that the Board approve the purchase of additional playground equipment for the Park. Trustee Smith made a motion to allow the purchase of the playground equipment, including freight charges from the Volunteer Park Committee Fund. Trustee Rouse seconded the motion. Motion was roll-called, all present voted aye. Motion carried.

New Business 

1. John Holt recommended the Board approve the hiring of a company for the digitalization of Village ordinances to be posted to the Village website. A Motion to approve was made by Trustee Booth and seconded by Trustee Soldwedel. Motion was roll-called, all present voted aye. Motion carried.

2. A motion was made by Trustee Rouse and seconded by Trustee Smith to deposit money from the Police Support Operation into a 11-month CD at the Bank of Greenview. A Motion to approve was made by Trustee Booth. Motion was roll-called, all present voted aye. Motion carried.

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans- Still working on Dental Insurance quotes for employees. Trustee Smith - nothing

Trustee Soldwedel-nothing

Trustee Hofmann-nothing

Trustee Booth- Gave OK to Maintenance to buy pea gravel for road tar bleed.

Village President Kevin Curry reported that a note was received from the Rt. 97 Cruisaiders, thanking the Board for including them in their 22nd Labor Day Celebration. It was noted that the car club had 187 vehicles in this year’s car show.
