New Business 

Circuit Clerk, Joe Roesch 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Deputy Clerk-Court Clerks Division at an annual salary of $36,929.11  effective 2/14/24; the previous employee left the position on 11/29/23 at an annual salary of $35,508.76 and left the payroll system on 12/8/23.  State's Attorney, John Milhiser 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Assistant State's Attorney at an annual salary range of up to a Senior Level ASA $81,852-116,962 effective on or after 2/15/24; the previous employee was promoted on 1/15/24 and left the position at an annual salary of $112,390. 

2. Approval to hire a replacement Lead Worker at an annual salary of up to $35,000 effective on or after 2/14/24; the previous employee retired on 12/15/23 and left the payroll system on 12/22/23 at an annual salary of $38,669.08. 

3. Approval to hire a replacement Victim Witness Advocate at an annual salary of $40,000 effective on or  after 2/14/24; the previous employee left the position on 12/8/23 at an annual salary of $42,394 and left the payroll system on 12/22/23.

Court Services - Kent Holsopple 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Data Specialist at an annual salary of $37,236 effective 3/25/24; the previous employee will leave the position at an annual salary of $37,251 on 2/7/24 and will leave the payroll system on 2/16/24. 

2. Approval to hire a replacement Detention Officer at an annual salary of $47,117 effective 2/26/24; the previous employee left the position on 12/21/23 at an annual salary of $47,117 and left the payroll system on 1/5/24.

Veterans Assistance Commission, Charlie Stratton 

1. Approval to hire a Superintendent at an annual salary of $74,999.93 effective 1/29/24-elected by the VAC Board on 1/17/24. 

Recorder's Office, Josh Langfelder 

1. Approval to hire a Micrographics/Vault Recorder Clerk at an annual salary of up to $49,514.91 effective 3/1/24. This is a new position. 

County Clerk's Office, Don Gray 

1. Approval to hire two (2) seasonal deputy clerks (temporary) effective 5/1/24 at an hourly rate of $16.00. 

Auditor's Office, Andy Goleman 

1. Resolution for update to Grant Management policy 

LLWA, Michelle Griebler 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Technical Resource Specialist at an annual salary of $36,412.35 effective 2/19/24; the previous employee left the position at an annual salary of $36,412.35 on 1/10/24 and left the payroll system on 1/19/24. 

Child Advocacy, Denise Johnson 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Casa Advocate Supervisor at an annual salary of $48,671.81 effective 2/20/24; the previous employee will leave the position at an annual salary of $48,671.81 on 2/14/24 and will leave the payroll system on 3/1/24. Requesting waiver of the 30 day lag (grant funded position) 

County Administration, Brian McFadden 

1. Resolution and Purchase Order-Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance in the amount of $500,000 for annual membership dues. 

2. Resolution and Purchase Order-various legal firms in the amount of $275,000 for legal counsel (non- Civil Liability related issues) 

3. Resolution and Purchase Order-Verizon Wireless in the amount of $168,000 for ETSD. 

4. Resolution supporting an exception to Sangamon County's general residency requirements for employees for the employment of Nathaniel Patterson, M.D. 

5. Resolution approving the negotiation and execution of an employment contract with Nathaniel Patterson, M.D. for the provision of autopsy services.

County Board (Comptroller), Tim Eggleston 

1. Resolution and Purchase Order, various vendors in the amount of $108,548 for 2024 County fleet vehicle purchases.
