City of Petersburg Police Committee Feb. 5.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Andrew Gain called the Committee to order at 6:14 p.m.
II. PRELIMINARY MATTERS
A. Members present were were Mayor Rick Snyder Chairman Andrew Gain, Rick Sonnemaker and Heidi Hiser. Also present were Alderman Bruce Gorman, Police Chief Mike Nichols Police Chief Mike Nichols and Asst. Police Chief Royce Shamhart.
B. Discussion was held on the Bus Issue at the Petersburg Elementary School with the buses parking on Madison Street.
C. By consensus of the Committee the date the buses should move to Monroe Street is February 12, 2024 with no parking on the North side of Monroe between 11th Street and 12th Street: and no parking on the East side of 11th Street between Monroe and Jackson Street.
D. A motion made by Alderman Gain seconded by Alderman Gorman to adjourn the meeting. Votes: Gain, yes; Sonnemaker, yes; Hiser, yes. Motion Carried.
