The Illinois Farm Bureau, in collaboration with several state partners, has launched the Illinois Farmer Veterans Alliance program. This initiative aims to provide resources and guidance for veterans interested in pursuing careers in agriculture.
Illinois is a leading state in agricultural production, particularly noted for its soybean and corn output. The state produces 15% of all U.S. soybeans, making it the top soybean-producing state in the country. Additionally, Illinois ranks second in corn production, contributing 13% of the nation's supply. Crop land constitutes 76% of Illinois' total land area.
