Since July 4, 1776, America has been a beacon of freedom, liberty, and hope across the globe. The tradition of Independence Day celebrations dates back to the 18th century and the American Revolution. It was on July 2, 1776, when the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence.
