As a State Representative for the 108th District, Wayne Rosenthal emphasizes preserving rural life and advocating for rural families. Rosenthal highlights the importance of keeping family farms within families, promoting agricultural education, and ensuring affordable and reliable energy.

Wayne Rosenthal, a longtime family farmer who works alongside his three sons, has been using no-till practices since 1990. His farm has implemented various conservation efforts, including replanting trees on flood-prone farmland, establishing wetlands, and planting native grasses and pollinator plants in marginal areas. Rosenthal is an advocate for reforming the Death Tax in Illinois to help family farmers pass their land to the next generation without selling it off to large corporate or foreign interests.

"Please sign the petition to protect family farms in Illinois and to preserve family traditions," urges Rosenthal.

Promoting agricultural education is another priority for Rosenthal. He supports programs like 4-H and FFA that develop future farmers who will sustain farming communities. "Ensuring education in rural communities reflects our values is at top of mind," he states. House Bill 3814 aims to allow FFA and 4-H students to participate in career development events without penalties for missing school days, considering each event as school work.

Rosenthal also addresses energy costs, advocating for an inclusive energy policy focusing on high-energy sources such as coal, nuclear power, natural gas, renewable energy, and ethanol. He criticizes political actions that drive out high-capacity power plants, increase energy costs, and risk reliability.
