JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College Clay Target Team will host a recruiting event on Saturday, October 19th at 10:00 a.m.
The event is free for prospective athletes and will begin with check-in at 10:00 a.m. on the Illinois College campus (1101 W College Ave.). The team shoot will start at 1:00 p.m. and will feature trap shooting and sporting clays at the Sportsman's Club in Jacksonville.
The co-ed clay target team is in its second season as part of the IC Athletic Department. The squad competes in events such as trap, sporting clays, and five stand. The program is affiliated with the Scholastic Clay Target Program and participates in ACUI Clay Target events.
The Recruiting Invitational offers prospective student-athletes an opportunity to meet coaches and learn more about the program. Check-in for this event begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by activities including trap, sporting clays, and an Annie Oakley event.
