U.S. Representative Mary Miller shared information about a Jordanian migrant who attempted to access a military installation, stating, "Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have put your family’s safety LAST!" She made the statement in an August 28 Facebook post.

"Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have put your family's safety LAST," said Miller, according to Facebook.

In her Facebook post, Miller shared a link to a Judicial Watch article focusing on two Jordanians who attempted to breach a U.S. military base, with one of the men reportedly on a terror watch list. According to Judicial Watch, Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 30, and Mohammad Khair Dabous were arrested after trying to breach the base and were released on bail in early June. The men posted bail—$15,000 for Hamdan and $10,000 for Dabous—and were released after agreeing to stay away from military activities and attend court for immigration hearings.

The article states that the incident occurred at Marine Corps Base Quantico on May 3. The men drove a truck to the main gate, claiming they were making a delivery to Quantico Town post office but ignored guards' orders to stop. They were initially charged with misdemeanor trespassing on military property. Guards asked for identification to conduct a visitor check and instructed Dabous to move the truck to an inspection area. As the guard checked the driver’s license information, Dabous drove away from the holding area. Hamdan could only produce a Jordanian passport. An unnamed Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer confirmed that Hamdan was on a terror watch list.

Judicial Watch reports that Hamdan entered the country illegally through the southern border, while Dabous was admitted on an F-1 nonimmigrant student visa but did not leave after his Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) record was terminated on January 14, 2023.

Mary Miller is currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 15th district. She replaced former U.S Congress member John Shimkus in 2021. Miller graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a BA. Born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959, she currently resides in Oakland and has seven children and twenty grandchildren. She and her husband continue to run their fourth-generation family farm.
