State Senator Tom Bennett (R-Gibson City) has been recognized as a top "Champion of Manufacturing" in the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association’s (IMA) 2024 Legislative Report Card.

The report card highlights lawmakers who consistently support Illinois’ manufacturing industry, rating them based on their voting records on key bills that impact the state’s manufacturing sector.

“I’m deeply honored to be recognized by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association,” said Senator Bennett. “I’ve always believed in the importance of manufacturing to our state’s economy and the opportunities it provides for so many families. I’ll continue to work hard to support our manufacturers and the people who rely on these jobs to build a stronger future for Illinois.”

With a voting record of 97 percent, Senator Bennett demonstrated strong commitment to supporting policies that benefit manufacturers and the broader business community in Illinois. As the manufacturing sector employs over 600,000 people in the state, ensuring that manufacturers have a strong voice in Springfield helps safeguard a cornerstone of Illinois’ economy and a major job creator in the state.
