Millikin scored three second-half goals to hand the Illinois College women's soccer team its first loss of the season, 4-2, on Tuesday at England Stadium in Jacksonville, Illinois.
The defeat dropped Illinois College (IC) to a record of 5-1-1 for the season, while Millikin remained unbeaten at 6-0-1.
As they have all season, the Lady Blues jumped ahead early with Olivia Ralston finding the net at the 21:27 mark of the first half, scoring off a feed from Abbi Renwick. The Big Blue responded with a goal from Izzy Jones just over six minutes later. IC's Holly Morehart then scored on a pass from Abby Keeton at 37:13 to close out the first half scoring.
The second half was dominated by Millikin. Mia Brown tied the match at the 75:05 mark before Adriana Gudaitis scored twice within a three-minute span to secure the victory.
Millikin outshot IC, 16-12. IC was led by Haley Sommer who had three shots. Sophia Kriegesmann made six saves in net for IC.
The Lady Blues will travel to Iowa this weekend for two matches. On Saturday, they will face Faith Bible College in Ankeny at noon and Central in Pella on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
