Illinois College Esports wins third MVEC Smash match against Coe College

The Illinois College Esports team competed in their third MVEC Smash match of the season against Coe College in a "Tennis Style" format. The team secured a 2-0 victory, improving their MVEC Smash season record to 2-1 and their overall record to 8-6.

In Game 1, Illinois College narrowly defeated Coe College with a score of 4-3. Jake Petrovich contributed significantly with 3 KOs and 1 fall, while Julian Luaders also added 3 KOs and 1 fall. Matthew Hallanger had no KOs but suffered 3 falls.

Game 2 saw Illinois College winning again, this time with a score of 3-2. Jake Petrovich once more led the team with 3 KOs and 2 falls. Julian Luaders matched his performance from Game 1 with another set of 3 KOs and only one fall. Theodore Biela rounded out the team's efforts with 1 KO and 3 falls.

Illinois College will next compete in MVEC Smash on Monday, October 28th against Simpson College at 7:00 PM.
