The Illinois College women's tennis team secured a significant victory against Monmouth with a 4-3 win in the Midwest Conference match held at the Monmouth Tennis Stadium. This win advances Illinois College's overall record to 11-4 and 3-2 in conference play, while Monmouth's record falls to 1-7 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

The Lady Blues began strong by sweeping all doubles matches, which ultimately proved decisive. Victories came from Sophie Muir and Alyssa Wise at No. 1, Michelle Maag and Lily Ingram at No. 2, and Chloe Plough and Madison Eastin at No. 3 doubles.

In singles competition, the teams evenly split the six matches, making the earlier doubles point crucial for Illinois College's success. Wins in singles were recorded by Muir (No. 3), Lily Ingram (No. 4), and Sabrina Ingram (No. 6).

Looking ahead, Illinois College will host Lake Forest for their final regular season Midwest Conference match, with play set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
