The Illinois College women's soccer team began their Midwest Conference play with a match against Ripon College on Saturday, resulting in a 1-1 draw. The Lady Blues now have an overall record of 3-4-1 for the season.

In the early minutes of the game, Illinois College's goalkeeper Sophia Kriegesmann faced three shots from Ripon but managed to prevent any goals. Both teams exchanged shots throughout the first half, with Illinois College taking 11 shots compared to Ripon's six. The first half ended without any goals.

Ripon took the lead in the 51st minute with a goal by Martina Palazzolo. However, Illinois College equalized in the 67th minute when Olivia Ralston scored her fourth goal of the season.

Illinois College outshot Ripon 23-12 during the match, and both teams recorded 12 shots on goal each. Haley Sommer led Illinois College with eight shots, while Kriegesmann made seven saves.

Looking ahead, the Lady Blues are scheduled to face Augustana College (IL) on Wednesday, September 27 at 6:00 PM in Rock Island, Illinois.
