The Midwest Conference has announced its Defensive Performer of the Week for women's soccer. Sophia Kriegesmann from Illinois College received the honor for her performance during the week of October 9-15, 2023.
Kriegesmann, a first-year goalkeeper, achieved a personal best with 13 saves in a match against Monmouth College on October 10th. Her efforts included several impressive diving saves that thwarted scoring attempts by the Fighting Scots.
The Lady Blues are scheduled to play against Lake Forest College on Saturday, October 21. The match will begin at 11:00 AM in Lake Forest, Illinois.
