Illinois College women's swim team finishes eighth at Midwest Conference Championships

The Illinois College women's swim team concluded their participation in the Midwest Conference Championships, securing eighth place with a total of 168 points. The event took place at the Russell K. Osgood Pool in Grinnell, Iowa.

A notable performance came from the 400-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Jena Sellers, Lauren Sinclair, Cassie Reeve, and Jenna Kenning. They achieved a time of 3:55.34, marking the fifth-best time in school history for this event.

Julia Edwards delivered a strong performance by finishing 12th in the finals of the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:39.96. In the 1,650-yard freestyle, Abigail Glaser also secured a 12th-place finish with a time of 19:33.57. Her teammates Delaney Goddard and Cassie Reeve followed closely behind in 15th and 16th places respectively, while Mackenzie Strong finished in 21st place.

Emma Dunsworth represented Illinois College well in the 200-yard butterfly by finishing in 12th place with a time of 2:33.53. Emily Wickerham also competed in this event and placed 15th.

Jena Sellers capped off Illinois College's day with a performance that earned her a 16th-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 58.02 seconds.
