Sydney Kuper led the Illinois College Women's Track and Field team with impressive performances at the Greenville Select Meet held at Francis Field. Kuper, a senior from Aviston, Illinois, secured second place in the discus event with a throw of 38.01 meters. She also achieved third place in the hammer throw with a distance of 47.57 meters.
The Lady Blues saw several other athletes achieve notable results. Keyleigh Thomas finished third in the javelin event with a throw measuring 31.39 meters. On the track, Alesse Trimingham earned third place in the 100-meter hurdles, completing it in 15.91 seconds. Morgan Carrino also secured a third-place finish by clocking a time of 13:32.84 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Additionally, the team's 4x100 meter relay squad finished third with a combined time of 48.14 seconds.
The Illinois College team is set to compete again next week at the Rose-Hulman Twilight event in Terre Haute, Indiana.
