Aleese Trimingham and Sydney Kuper led the Illinois College women's track and field team at the Millikin Big Blue Alumni Invite in Decatur, Illinois. Trimingham excelled by winning two individual events. She secured first place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.75 seconds and triumphed in the 400 meter hurdles, clocking in at 1:12.60.
Kuper achieved victory in the hammer throw, achieving an event-winning distance of 46.26 meters.
The team performed well in the 100 meter dash, with Deja Anderson and Mattie Brown tying for second place at 12.48 seconds. Haley Garrett finished fourth at 12.64 seconds, while Fynesse Jones completed the top five with a time of 12.78 seconds.
Apiphany Patterson claimed second place in the 400 meters, recording a time of 1:02.20.
In field events, Anderson earned second place with a jump measuring 5.55 meters. Keyleigh Thomas also placed second in the javelin with a throw reaching 31.75 meters.
The Lady Blues are set to host their outdoor home debut for the year next Saturday during the True Blue Open.
