The Illinois College men's soccer team celebrated a significant achievement during the 2023 season. On September 16, Tyler Schiltz became the all-time leading scorer in Blueboy soccer history during a match against Eureka College. Schiltz achieved this milestone by scoring his 22nd career goal.

This season, Schiltz has played in four matches, starting in three of them. He has scored three goals from seven shots in these appearances.

"I first want to thank all of my teammates for their support and encouragement. I also want to thank all of the trainers for helping me through injuries and getting me back to playing every season. Finally, I especially want to thank the coaches and Coach Philpott for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to come here and play. I wouldn't have been able to do it without everyone's support," said Schiltz.

Schiltz is a two-time First-Team All-Midwest Conference honoree, having been selected in both the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

"Congratulations to Tyler, who is now the all-time leader in career goals. This is a special accomplishment. I know he and his teammates are very proud. It is not easy to score at this level, and Tyler has always been a clinical striker since the moment we moved him to the position. Tyler has been a part of this project since the very beginning, and this record is a testament to his hard work and dedication throughout his time with us," said Head Coach Evan Philpott.
