The Midwest Conference has released its preseason poll for men's soccer, predicting Illinois College's Blueboys to finish sixth in the 2023 season. Lake Forest College has been named the favorite to secure the MWC title, receiving 57 points and five first-place votes. Last season, the Foresters achieved their 18th regular-season title and eighth tournament victory.
Illinois College anticipates a strong performance with several returning players, including Tyler Schiltz, a First Team All-Conference honoree. Schiltz was a key offensive player last season, leading the team with 10 goals, 58 shots, and 34 shots on goal.
Head Coach Evan Philpott will guide the Blueboys for his fifth year as they begin their season by hosting Millikin University at England Stadium on September 2. The full results of the preseason poll are as follows:
